Kicking off the fall campaign in Nebraska's 1st Congressional District, Jeff Fortenberry and Matt Connealy clashed over support for President Bush and their credentials to stand up for farmers during a State Fair debate Sunday.

Fortenberry, a Republican from Lincoln, sought to use the debate to tie Democrat Connealy to his party and its presidential candidate, Sen. John Kerry.
