| U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel on Thursday called the back-and-forth controversy over Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry's service in Vietnam "nonsense."
And the Nebraska Republican urged both Kerry and President Bush to "get on high ground here and start talking about the future of this country."
