DAVID LIGHTMAN - - Hartford Courant
| Joshua Tagore sat at the witness table Wednesday before the U.S. senators and spoke of brain functions and Advanced Placement biology and the need for more federal education support.
It was an unusual appearance, because Tagore is a 16-year-old Simsbury resident and student at Hartford's University High School of Science & Engineering. He testified before the Senate subcommittee on education and early childhood development as part of a morning program that included a Bush administration education official, two former governors and a group of leading education experts.
