Two-term limit under fire view story
Sunday, June 26, 2005
Lisa Friedman - - Los Angeles Daily News
| President George W. Bush for life? Well, not really.
But Democrat Rep. Howard Berman would be willing to let presidents give it their best shot.
The Van Nuys congressman this week teamed up with a small group of lawmakers trying to repeal the 22nd Amendment, which limits presidents to two terms in office.

You're kidding me right?
You know people may have been happy when FDR was around for so long, but no one was happy about all the disease in the panama canal, and I don’t see anyone rooting for that to come back, so lets just leave that four term thing in the past, like when we took all the Native American’s land, or Burt Reynolds. And seriously do we need to give people another chance to let George Bush in the office who’s name by the way (George Bush) already has three terms under his name, lets get a new name into the office huh folks? Did we not watch Fahrenheit 911? Let me just side track here for a second to make a point. I go to IHOP pretty often. And every time I go in there I get the same thing. Orange Juice and Cinnamon French toast. You know why? I had it once and I loved it. Sure, I have had a few of them that didn’t come out great but I just remember the good impression I had of it. I know I’m not the only one who tends to get the same meal every time at a restaurant. People are creatures of habit. That’s why FDR stayed around as long as he did he made that good impression and people stuck with him. That’s why we would end up keeping George “dubya” Bush around till he is in dippers. We have made mistakes in our past, lets not let the changing of the 22nd amendment be one of them.

You're right -- it's like Iraq, Bush has just made it a habit.
The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are an entire banquet. ~ Mark Twain |
