| The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans kicked off its annual conference in Washington, D.C., by calling on Congress to pass the Service Members' Enhanced Transition Services Act, which would help prevent homelessness among veterans by making available up to eight hours of individualized services - help with housing, employment, training and health care - to people leaving the military.
