| TALLAHASSEE — Senate President Tom Lee says the Department of Education's decision this week to include more school districts in the state's new pre-kindergarten program is tantamount to making law — something it can't do.
But fearing a lack of eligible schools and no consensus to amend the statute, the Republican from Brandon said he doesn't plan to fight the decision, which Education Commissioner John Winn announced Tuesday.
