Tuesday, November 16, 2004
JAKE THOMPSON - - Omaha World-Herald
| With so many tough foreign policy challenges up in the air, U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel said Monday he was sorry to see Secretary of State Colin Powell step down.
Hagel ticked off a list of issues that include Iraq's future, its elections in January, elections for a new Palestinian leader and nuclear weapons programs in Iran and North Korea.
"I thought it was very important that his steady hand continue to be involved," said Hagel, a Nebraska Republican.
