 President-elect Barack Obama faces big policy decisions on Iran, North Korea and the Mideast as he contemplates whether to stay on Bush's foreign policy path or chart a new course.

WHY First Black American President? And not BI-RACIAL?
If Obama's mother is white and his father is black shouldn't the more appropriate term be First BI-RACIAL American President?
If his mother and father were BOTH black then the correct term would be First Black or African American president.
Can someone please clarify this for me?
