This is in response to the article, “Clinton's female fans wonder what if -- and when”, and your support of Obama. Yes, if he is the candidate in the presidential election, I will vote for him. Only because of the choices presented which you will have helped bring about.HOWEVER, I resent him calling a female reporter with a serious question, “Sweetie”. He claims it is a habit. How many men is he calling, “Sweetie”? I am relatively high up in my field, which is a traditionally male field, (electrical inspector for a local municipality) and my 2 levels up supervisor is a black male. He has the same mindset as Obama. He will tell you how I have had to put up with the good old boy system as he has and does not see that he, too, is the good old boy system. As he ‘protects’ me and ensures that I do not have to be discriminated against because he looks out for me. Do not misunderstand me, he is a good person and a good supervisor but he has that mindset that he does not and will not see. As does Obama!
I am in shock that you would endorse his run for office in opposition to Clinton. She has proven in more ways her "electability" over Obama, which leads me to believe that you do want the status quo to continue. Why help spread the line that Obama is the candidate and assist in the premature exit of Clinton?
How can you endorse someone who obviously does not have the respect for women as equals? Additionally, he has shown that he does not treat women as equals. What is the problem? What does this hold for our future?
WHY, has the opposing party not jumped on this “sweetie”? Is it because they know Clinton will straighten out this mess, P. Bush has left and Obama will keep the status quo and just feed us a few crumbs? If, he is elected! The part that really scares me is I don’t believe he is “electable” and our country cannot handle another 4 years of a Republican president.
By the way, my husband agrees with everything stated here.
PLEASE RE-THINK YOUR ENDORSEMENT!!
Thank you, Pat Griffith Rose
I have sent this to other interested, (hopefully), parties.
