| WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More than one in four U.S. teen girls is infected with at least one sexually transmitted disease, and the rate is highest among blacks, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday.

25 percent
The statement about "Some doctors" suggesting that one of the causes may be abstainance-only education sounds like an activist reporter asking leading questions. The only logical method of preventing the transmission of HPV is by abstinance, since it is transmitted from pubis to pubis, regardless of whether condoms are used. Eight years ago, 30% of the women at UCLA had contracted HPV. Were they ignorant of the benefit of "protection" or where they evangelized by the abstinance-is-stupid philosophy? I don't think so. Statistics say that 30% of women who contract HPV will get cervical cancer. What a horrible outcome. The promoters of the sexual "protection racket" tells everyone to wear a helmet and then go into battle. The promoters of abstinance say to stay off the battlefield and choose someone else who has done the same. Which group would you think would have the higher casualty rate?
